Scope:

This satellite focuses on atomic scale modeling of mechanical and electronic properties of carbon nanotube systems. We will highlight the computational challenges in modeling these systems and discuss new tools that overcome these challenges. New tools include progresses in theoretical modeling as well as next decade peta-flops computers and software for taking advantage of these new technologies.

The workshop formula is of 30-minutes invited talks so to provide a panoramic view of the state-of-the-art in the field; workshop participants might then benefit from going into presentation details during the NT'06 meeting.
