The secondary battery which uses lithium metal for a cathode was manufactured first in 1980's, but carbon materials are used for lithium component metal oxide (LiCoO2, LiMnO2, LiNiO2), a cathode in an anode now.

In late years,@Electronics are phenomenally small,@light weight,@and enhanced performance progress .And the spread of mobile devices such as a mobile telephone and a note PC suddenly spreads.Because an electronic device and high efficiency of a secondary battery contribute greatly.
The secondary battery which is demanded in a recent electronics markethas a high energy density(Wh/l, Wh/kg) and be to be able to contribute to small size of the whole machinery and lightweighting.Above all, a lithium ion secondary battery has the following good point as mobile electronics use in comparison with various secondary batteries.
